SheltonPanel: Government Project Management in 2025

How will Federal government program and project management change in the new world of the Program Management Improvement and Accountability Act? Federal program and project managers will discuss the future of project management under the PMIAA and how recent changes in agile procurement, agile project management, and digital transformation has made more effective program/project management vital to government’s ability to successfully deliver services to the American public.

Biography: With over 15 years agile and project experience, Cindy Shelton is well known throughout the Agile community as one of the co-authors of PMIs Software Extension, a pilot member of the PMI-ACP certification exam and exam designer, member of PMIs Organizational Project Management Advisory Group, and SME to the new Agile Guide.  In addition, Cindy holds certifications with IC Agile (PM, Test, and Coach) as well as the traditional Government FAC/PM Level 3, DoD PM Level II and PMI PMP, PMI-ACP.  In addition, Ms Shelton is a Board Member of the DC Chapter of Society for Value Engineers (SAVE). Cindy is currently the Deputy for Project Management at the Defense Technical Information Center (DTIC).
