Abstract:

Design Thinking has emerged as a major trend for how innovative organizations and teams are approaching problem-solving. Is Design Thinking another business fad? Or is it a useful tool that Project Managers can employ in a more flexible, discovery-driven world? This presentation explores the intersection between Design Thinking and Project Management and identifies the pitfalls and benefits of incorporating design on projects.

The presentation will include case studies to show concretely how to integrate design methods and Design Thinking into projects with lessons learned and unique outcomes.

At the conclusion the presentation, participants should be able to describe the benefits of incorporating design methodologies on projects for increased customer alignment and business impact.
