Session: Bringing Agile to Government Project Management
Panel Description: A panel of distinguished experts in agile project management will discuss their experiences in managing agile projects in the Federal government. Three of the panelists are from 18F, which is a government-wide civic consultancy to help agencies rapidly deploy tools and services that are easy to operate, cost efficient, and reusable. Our fourth panelist is from the Peace Corps’ Office of the Chief Information Officer where he manages the Project Management team and has led several agile projects. The panelists will share the challenges and benefits of bringing agile project management methods to the Federal government.
Biography: Alla Goldman Seiffert is a acquisition innovation specialist and product manager at 18F. Before joining GSA, she worked as a national security communications consultant at a government contracting firm. She is now a member of the 18F acquisitions team working on projects such as the micro-purchase platform and agile BPA.
Alla holds a law degree from the University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law, where she studied intellectual property and cyberlaw. Her love of all things tech and government drove her to complete internships at various federal agencies, to include the Executive Office the President and U.S. Coast Guard. Prior to law school, she worked as a digital strategist at a website development firm in Washington, D.C., and as an intelligence analyst at the Department of Defense. Alla is also a fluent Russian linguist.
