Helping those that help themselves and others is a calling for Ms. Barnard. She is the Executive Director of the Project Management Day of Service, an organization that is raising the profile of the Project Management profession by showing that Project Management is a crucial service for nonprofit organizations to help them realize their strategic mission. Her soon to be published book, The Impossible PMO, takes readers through her journey of making the impossible possible via the PMO model to make the Project Management Day of Service go from dream to reality in a matter of months!

Ms. Barnard has spent over a decade serving the Project Management community as a board member of PMI chapters, currently in the role of VP, Marketing for PMI, Washington, DC. Prior to this, she devoted 10 years in board service to the PMI Montgomery County, Maryland Chapter. She also served on board of Goodwill Industries of the Greater Chesapeake, Inc. in Baltimore, MD for 3 years.

Ms. Barnard has a Computer Science degree from Virginia Tech, a Project Management InstituteĀ® (PMI), PMP certification (10 years) and a ProsciĀ® Change Management Practitioner certification.
