What browser should I use to view the webinar sessions in WebEx?<\/strong><\/p>\n

WebEx is compatible with the latest versions of Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Firefox, and Safari 7 (or later). We recommend using Chrome.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

What type of network should I use to view the WebEx webinar sessions?<\/strong><\/p>\n

While you can attend WebEx webinars using a wireless network with a strong signal, a wired network connection is recommended if you have a low-bandwidth Internet connection or a weak wireless signal.<\/p>\n

This is my first time joining a WebEx webinar.\u00a0 Are there any steps that I should take to prepare?<\/strong><\/p>\n

If you\u2019ve never used WebEx before, you can Test WebEx<\/a> on your computer, smart phone, or tablet well before the start time of the webinar sessions.\u00a0 Use this link: https:\/\/www.webex.com\/test-meeting.html<\/a><\/p>\n

There are two ways to use WebEx.\u00a0 1) Install a browser extension or 2) join from your browser. Below are explanations of both.<\/p>\n

  1. Install a browser extension.\u00a0<\/strong> WebEx will ask you to install a browser extension or add-in when you join a webinar for the first time on a computer. This extension or add-in is specific to your browser and may appear different from this example which shows Google Chrome.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    \"\"<\/p>\n

     <\/p>\n

    \"\"<\/p>\n

     <\/p>\n

    2)\u00a0 Join WebEx from your browser.\u00a0<\/strong> If you are not able to download the WebEx extension, then you can “Join from your browser”.\u00a0 With that option you are not downloading anything to your computer, just viewing the information using your browser.<\/p>\n

    \"\"<\/p>\n

    The webinar is opening or running slowly. What should I do?<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Close any open applications on your computer except for the browser window in which you\u2019re viewing the webinar.<\/p>\n

    Can I view a webinar on my smart phone or tablet?<\/strong><\/p>\n

    You can access the event via Webex through your smartphone or tablet.\u00a0 However, it is not recommended that you participate using your smartphone.<\/p>\n

    Webinar Audio\u00a0Tips<\/h2>\n

    I can\u2019t hear the webinar presenter. What should I do?<\/strong><\/p>\n

    All sessions will use WebEx\u2019s built-in audio tools for voice broadcasting. You will need to use your computer speakers to listen.\u00a0 If for some reason they are not working try these steps to correct audio problems during the webinar:<\/p>\n

    1. Check the speaker output on your computer or headset to make sure it is not muted. Make sure any headset or microphone jacks or USB connectors are fully inserted into the correct ports on your computer.<\/p>\n

    2. Go to the Audio & Video<\/strong> tab and select Speaker and Microphone Settings<\/strong> to test both your speaker settings.<\/p>\n

    \"\"<\/p>\n

    I hear static or interference in the audio. What should I do?<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Move any mobile or audio devices away from the computer that you\u2019re using to participate in the webinar.<\/p>\n

     <\/p>\n

    How do I listen to a webinar using my phone instead of computer\/external speakers?<\/strong><\/p>\n

    All sessions will use WebEx\u2019s built-in audio tools for voice broadcasting. You will need to use your computer speakers to listen. If for some reason your computer or external speakers do not work, you can always call into the webinar.<\/p>\n

    Go to the Meeting<\/strong> tab and select Information<\/strong> to get the call in number and access code.<\/p>\n

    Webinar Communication Tips<\/h2>\n

    How can I communicate with the presenter or host during the webinar?<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Note that the webinar audio will be set-up so that attendees are unable to speak or show their video. Please direct any questions related to the content of the presentation to the presenter via the Q&A or Chat feature.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

    PDU Reporting<\/h2>\n

    When Do I need to report my PDUs ?<\/strong><\/p>\n
