Presentation: Next Gen Project Risk Management – The Value of Project Production Analytics

Abstract: Operations management methods such as production models have been recently proven to be an important addition to the project management toolbox. With a better understanding of how processes contribute to work completion (engineering design, fabrication, or construction), project managers can now optimize resources and capacity requirements, design supply chains, and actually control the work being done. The impact of implementation of such an approach is already visible across different project-based industries including delivery of data centers, advanced manufacturing facilities, and defense systems. This presentation focuses on the value of project production analytics for project risk management. We will discuss how project production models tie into risk identification, assessment, and mitigation.
