Presentation: Look inside a world where Project Management is Saving Lives

Abstract: As part of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s delivery on its Vision 2030, the Ministry of Health is undertaking a major shift in how it delivers projects and programs across the Kingdom. This program of change is being undertaken through the creation and development of a new EPMO, where, over the next three years the way health is managed and health projects are delivered in Saudi Arabia, will change for the next generations.

This presentation will take you on a journey to discover the successes and the pitfalls along the way, from the launch of the EPMO, into the transition of international to Saudi staff and the full learning and development of project management along the way. Changing the perspective of how health projects are selected, how the long-term planning is conducted and how once a project is started, it is better monitored and controlled, will offer the listener the chance to gain an insight into what is happening across the world to save and protect lives for the future.

The attendees for the presentation will have the opportunity to see how strategic planning and alignment can make such a difference to the way projects can make a difference, whilst also understanding the challenges of organisational and behavioural change in a program that will alter project management in the health sector in Saudi Arabia, forever.
