Call for Speakers and Papers

Topic Areas

The Project Management Center for Excellence at the University of Maryland invites you to submit an abstract for a presentation during our 2017 Maryland Project Management Symposium to be held on May 4-5, 2017 in College Park.  Individuals and organizations are invited to submit abstracts of papers and/or presentations to be included in program sessions for the symposium.  These papers and presentations on case studies, best practices and research findings should be of interest to project managers, consulting engineers and architects, construction managers, policy and agency personnel, and researchers and educators.

Abstracts are sought in the following program and project management topic areas:

What’s Next?

If your abstract is selected, you will be notified via e-mail on or before Monday, November 21, 2016.  Below is a list of important deadlines for potential speakers.

September 2, 2016 Call for papers and case studies opens
November 13, 2016 Last day to submit your abstract
November 21, 2016 Acceptance notifications released via e-mail
March 1, 2017 Registration deadline for all speakers
March 20, 2017 Completed papers or case studies due
April 17, 2017 Completed presentations due
April 28, 2017 Final program sent to printer

Please note that all selected speakers will need to register for the two day symposium by March 1, 2017 at the speaker rate of $325.
