Presentation: How People Change
Abstract: Sustainable organizational change requires far more than just leadership support. An organization must follow a process that includes involvement and investment from all levels of the organization, identifying, nurturing, and supporting change agents, constant reinforcement and over-communication of efforts, and recognition of progress. This session will cover change management principles and theory used in transformational change efforts along with practical examples from a certified Change Management Specialist (CMS) who has led major change efforts for public sector clients.
Biography: Evan Piekara PMP, CMS, is a Senior Consultant at BDO USA LLP and MBA Graduate from Georgetown’s McDonough School of Business. Evan has supported BDO in the launch of its Public Sector Consulting Practice. He has supported public sector clients in transformational efforts involving change management, strategic planning, performance management and evaluation and requirements gathering.
