It's No Longer Enough To Simply Be Agile
Abstract:
A tremendous amount of literature has been published about the merits of agile development practices. But in today’s environment, agile development practices are being quickly supplemented with major technology breakthroughs that enhance software quality, improve enterprise performance and provide business resiliency. This paper and presentation describes three of these breakthroughs; micro-services architectures, cloud computing, and DevOps practices. A brief overview of the technology, the obtainable benefits, and required implementation steps will be provided for each technology. The paper and presentation will close with a discussion of how all of these technologies, working together, can provide tangible benefits to any Information Technology (IT) based, agile development organization.
