Breakout Room 1

Abstract:

Evaluate Session

What the world needs now and has always needed, but perhaps even more so now, are people who have the capacity to be the best leaders in the world. Where better to look for these leaders than from the ranks of project managers just like you.

A daunting challenge, absolutely, but in our time together, I want to share several ideas that have worked for the best leaders in the past and still today, that any current project manager can incorporate quickly to become a leader others will follow and want to be led by throughout their projects.

During our time together, we will explore characteristics and patterns that have exemplified true leadership qualities in so many men and women and how you can adapt these concepts to your current circumstances.

I have chosen these four categories of the many leadership roles to zero in on for our time together: Communicator/Visionary, Positivity/3 C’s (you’ll have to attend to learn what these are), Problem Solver/Decision Maker and Team Builder/Delegator.

Session takeaways will include new ideas about what works in each of these categories and what doesn’t and why, with examples to reflect on after the session and resources to pursue to continue one’s growth and development in these essential skill areas.

After attending this session, you will leave with a renewed and a greater sense of what leadership is needed for your projects and how best to exemplify and exhibit these characteristics on your projects daily.
