Presentation: Collaborative Design Review With Combined Technology

Abstract: Combining existing technologies, including 3D models, a project schedule, emerging virtual reality platforms, drones, laser scans and high def overlays, it is now possible for teams to collaborate and review a design and current vs. planned project progress in real time. This means the remote team can view the actual site in fine detail, whether it is on the 81st floor of 50 Hudson Yards in Manhattan, inside the Guangzhou Evergrande Football Stadium or 138′ above the Fraser River under the Port Mann Bridge in British Columbia. accurately identifying, reviewing, assigning, and resolving issues can now be done in a matter of hours or days rather than weeks.
