Paper and Presentation: Enabling Startup Venture Success through a Project Management Framework

Abstract: While social impact and mission driven ventures exploded over the past year to include investments in healthcare, climate tech, and sustainability, it was quickly followed by an unstable market trending downwards. As a result, ventures were impacted in what they could feasibly invest in and startups were affected in their ability to hire and scale.

This session will share experience from working within the venture startup space and how project management tooling and expertise was prioritized as an approach to navigate through organizational changes, build strategy, and track project outcomes. This session will share how various frameworks such as Agile, Scrum, and Kanban were leveraged to organize cross-functional teams’ workstreams in an ever changing environment. Finally, participants will learn how to develop an operational framework or strategy within a startup environment.
