Considerations for FAC-P/PM Application Review – Anderson

FAC-P/PM is a Federal Acquisition Institute (FAI) certification for P/PM competencies that involve acquisitions. When considered and viewed through the PMIAA implementation lens, there is an opportunity to assess the FAC-P/PM certification process and determine if that process can be re-engineered to align it to the following mutually beneficial outcomes:

• Professionalizing the critical federal P/PM workforce
• Standardizing agency P/PM practices (holding FAC-P/PMs to this standard)
• Standardizing the process of certifying FAC-P/PM applications
• Supporting the agency with FAC-P/PM application review, certification, and competency and experience assurance

This session will discuss an approach to the FAC-P/PM application review process including the benefits, challenges, and successes.

Cross-Agency Collaboration to Ensure Mission Success – Cenzano, Davis, Hine, Rewey and Traquair

The value of collaborating with program and project managers (P/PMs) from across the federal government to share best practices and lessons learned is immeasurable and has become a critically important tool in the toolbox. Many federal P/PMs continue to work in either a hybrid or completely remote work environment. Having the capability to contact a federal peer P/PM for resources, guidance, and wisdom that—for whatever reason—we cannot obtain from our leadership chain is undeniably valuable.

During this session we will discuss collaboration thoughts, ideas, and resources to better position you to achieve mission success.
