Abstract:
Knowing what “done” looks like for any project for the Capabilities needed to accomplish a Mission or fulfill a Strategy is the starting point for project success. In the US Defense and Space domain, Capabilities-based Planning (CBP) has been in place for several years. It’s time to move this practice to broader domains.
This contribution will introduce the concept and the steps needed to identify the needed capabilities, the steps to be taken for successfully deploying CBP, and the units of measure defining success for the stakeholder.
