Paper and Presentation: Enhancing Project Management with AI Assistive Technologies: A Guide for Modern Professionals

Abstract: In the rapidly evolving landscape of project management, integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) as an assistive technology has become a game-changer. This interactive presentation delves into the multifaceted role of AI in revolutionizing project management practices, offering modern professionals insights into harnessing this powerful tool.

I will demonstrate in real time how AI assistive technologies bring a new dimension to project management. I will demonstrate automating routine tasks, predicting project outcomes, and facilitating decision-making processes using cutting-edge tools such as Swiftly. I will also demonstrate how to use prompt engineering to analyze large volumes of data, in order to utilize information from Large Language Models.

Throughout this presentation I will show the significant advantages of AI in project management is its ability to enhance efficiency. Here are the three takeaways from this presentation:

  1. Leveraging AI’s ability to automate routine and administrative tasks, such as scheduling and resource allocation, allows project managers to devote more time to critical areas like strategic planning and stakeholder engagement. This shift in focus from mundane tasks to higher-level strategic work can significantly enhance the overall productivity and success of projects.
  2. Access predictive insights to forecast potential project risks and issues. This proactive approach to problem-solving minimizes the risk of project delays and cost overruns and empowers managers to make more informed, data-driven decisions.
  3. Use AI-driven project management tools to facilitate better team communication and collaboration. They provide platforms for real-time updates, shared access to project analytics, and collaborative workspaces. This streamlines the workflow and ensures all team members are on the same page, leading to more cohesive project execution and higher-quality outcomes.

These takeaways underscore AI’s transformative impact on project management, highlighting its potential to streamline processes and enhance the strategic aspects of project execution.

This presentation will address the challenges and ethical considerations of integrating AI into project management, ensuring professionals can navigate this new terrain. With a balanced approach, I will provide practical tips for effective implementation and maximize the potential benefits of AI in project management.
