Leah Onuoha

Presentation: Mastering Adaptability: Leveraging Your Strengths to Thrive in an Evolving Job Market

Abstract: My path to a 15-year career at a Software Engineering firm is a story I’m asked to share often. I studied business marketing and theater arts in college, so managing software development and cybersecurity teams was never in my plan! But I’ve found that my skills are transferable to many different ecosystems, and my superpower is making complicated concepts simple.

In this session, attendees can expect to gain:

  1. Insight on what you should do and what you don’t need to do if you want to (or need to) transition to managing projects in a new field, such as technology
  2. How to apply an agile mindset to approaching your career path
  3. Tips on playing to your strengths and building a team that fills in for your weaknesses
