The Project Management Symposium does not disappoint! This is my third year attending and each year it gets better. There are a diversity of tracks to attend, from managing people to the federal government to construction. You will find a topic that relates to your work and the speaker(s) will provide you with information that you can take with you and implement. UMCP gives us a clean, safe, accessible building to visit, with good food and easy access parking. The conference services staff are pleasant and accommodating. The university might be large, but this conference makes me feel at home and welcomed. Elena Bozylinski, Tessco Technologies
I learned a lot, had fun, connected with participants and some great speakers, and explored some topics in more depth. The food was surprisingly well done! PLUS!!! I received the PDUs. I registered early and the discount made the symposium cost effective as well. Really, a PMP needs to consider gatherings such as this one to stay on top of the latest as well as staying on track for re-certification. Fred Coppell, Leidos Inc. At the DNI/IC CIO
It’s a meeting of great thinkers and doers in the world of project management where you will learn more than you can imagine over two days. Mark Reeson, M R Project Solutions Ltd
The PM Symposium provides a unique opportunity to engage with other professionals in the vast field of project management. The schedule format allows the attendee to focus on various interests such as Leadership, Stakeholder Management, and Technical areas. It is refreshing to hear new ideas from industry leaders and also get valid confirmation of current practices. Daniel R. Pierce, UMD FM Planning & Construction
I enjoyed attending the UMD PM Symposium as a way to network with like-minded colleagues and learn from them how I can improve my own projects! Sarah Hoban, Booz Allen Hamilton
This is a well organized and enjoyable conference that features a variety of tracks to choose from. It is not a “mega event” and is a good size; large enough to meet many people though not intimidating in its largeness. I’d highly recommend to anyone in the area of the US in general looking for a worthwhile PM conference to attend. Kenneth Perry, RDU Airport Authority
You gain a great, broad view of project management from many different perspectives and from a diverse set of speakers; coupled with expanding your personal network. Jim Peterson, VA Acquisition Academy
