Abstract:

An enterprise ERP implementation at a large organization had stalled. The project was months behind schedule, over budget, and had been paused by executive leadership. Priorities were constantly shifting, and confidence in the initiative was waning. Leading a team of approximately 100, we were challenged with transforming disengagement into alignment and forward momentum.

Through a full strategic reset, we redefined guiding principles, rebuilt trust, and fostered cross-functional collaboration. Steering committee and executive meetings were re-established to improve alignment and decision-making. Team timelines were also adjusted to give members greater flexibility. We implemented a disciplined planning framework with clear milestones, transparent reporting, and stakeholder engagement. To strengthen team alignment, we hosted onsite, full-team multi-day workshops that reinforced collaboration and support. These efforts helped deliver three major phases on schedule and within scope, restoring confidence in both the project and the broader transformation it supports.

In this session, participants will gain practical, actionable strategies for turning stalled projects into success stories. Attendees will learn how to course correct, work collaboratively, foster creativity, rebuild trust and communication, and re-engage teams under pressure. Whether leading enterprise-level initiatives or complex projects of any size, participants will leave equipped with tools to reset direction, regain momentum, and sustain high-performing teams. This session offers a candid, inspiring look at what it takes to revive high-stakes projects and achieve lasting results.

Key takeaways:

  • A practical framework for diagnosing why projects stall and designing a targeted recovery plan.
  • Approaches for applying agile principles in structured environments where traditional project methods have struggled.
  • Strategies for cultivating a resilient, high-performing culture that thrives under pressure and drives sustainable delivery.

If you’re leading or sponsoring large-scale initiatives facing alignment, delivery, or change management challenges, this session will provide actionable insights and proven techniques to help you reset direction and regain control.
